LCEC Wins Engineering Inspiration at Port Hueneme

Last weekend, La Canada Engineering Club competed at the FIRST Robotics Competition in Port Hueneme and came home with the Engineering Inspiration Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions in FRC. The award goes to teams that do more than compete well; it recognizes those who actively advance appreciation for engineering within their school and broader community.

On the field, the team's robot LaBall James had a strong showing, advancing all the way to the semifinals. The team (No. 2429) will keep working on the robot as the season continues.

Winning the Engineering Inspiration Award also earns the team a spot at the State Championships in Anaheim next month, a well-deserved step up.

Next up, the team heads to Glendale High School later this month for their next regional competition. Congratulations Blockheads, and good luck!
