The team poses with the Reach Award.
Blockheads Win Reach Award at Wildcard Tournament
This weekend, FTC Team 5921 closed out their season at the Wildcard Tournament at Menifee High School. It was a tough tournament, but the team showed exactly what they're made of.
Robot disconnect issues created real obstacles throughout the day, the kind that can derail a team that isn't prepared to adapt. Team 5921 adapted. They kept their composure, made it into the playoffs, and walked away with the Reach Award, which recognizes growth and determination over the course of a season. Both feel well earned.
None of this happens without the people behind it. Captain Milo led the team with the kind of commitment and steadiness that sets the tone for everyone around him, and it showed in how the team carried themselves all season. Mentor Dennis brought an exceptional level of guidance and support throughout, and his investment in this team made a real difference in where they ended up.
This was a strong first chapter. With the experience this team has built, the lessons learned, and another offseason to develop and refine, there's no ceiling on where Team 5921 can go next year. We're excited to see it.
