We are living through a time of hardship. Our communities are hurting—from the recent wildfires that have impacted our friends, families, and educators, to ongoing economic uncertainty that makes each day feel more fragile. These moments can leave us feeling powerless.
But even in the face of struggle, hope is what carries us forward.
Hope isn’t just a feeling—it’s a choice. A decision to believe that something better is possible, and to keep showing up, no matter how difficult the road becomes. It’s what gives us the strength to move, to grow, and to care.
We see that hope every day in our club. It’s a student daring to try something new. A team that refuses to quit after a setback. A mentor who shows up week after week, investing time and love into futures not yet written.
And just like Bryan in OneRepublic’s music video “I Lived,” hope is what keeps us going. Bryan—who lives with cystic fibrosis—never gave up. He faced unimaginable challenges, but chose to live—with heart, with purpose, and with courage. He reminds us that struggle does not define us. How we respond to it does.
That’s the spirit we need now more than ever.
This season, let’s lead with hope.
Let’s live with intention.
Let’s support one another.
And let’s remind the world that even in our hardest moments—we rise.
We are the Blockheads, and we are here to help!
