Ian was selected to serve as Executive Director of Program Development because of his leadership potential, willingness to learn, commitment to the mission of FIRST, and ability to grow into a long-term leadership role within LCEC. As an underclassman, Ian has the unique opportunity to develop over multiple seasons, gain institutional knowledge, and help provide continuity and long-term stability for the organization. His selection reflects not only his current abilities, but also the confidence that he can continue evolving into a major leader within the future of LCEC.

Ian has consistently demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a genuine interest in helping strengthen the organization beyond just competition performance. He understands the importance of structure, mentorship, systems, and sustainability in building successful programs. In addition, his family has shown interest in supporting the organization and helping expand community involvement, volunteer support, and long-term organizational growth. That level of family engagement is valuable within FIRST programs and helps strengthen the overall support network that allows LCEC to continue expanding opportunities for students.

The Executive Director of Program Development is responsible for helping improve and strengthen the internal systems, leadership structure, operational consistency, and long-term sustainability of LCEC. This role focuses on building the foundation that allows programs, leadership teams, and future generations of students to succeed.

Ian will work closely with Jeremy, who will serve as a mentor and advisor throughout the development of this role. Jeremy’s experience, leadership background, and understanding of LCEC operations will help guide Ian in areas such as leadership development, organizational structure, communication, continuity planning, and long-term program growth. This partnership is intended to create stronger leadership transition pathways while helping preserve institutional knowledge across multiple seasons.
