Executive Director of Experiences

Luke DaBell

Luke was selected to serve as Executive Director of Experience & Infrastructure because of his exceptional ability to improve, organize, and strengthen the operational backbone of LCEC. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated advanced technical knowledge, systems thinking, reliability, and a strong understanding of how large organizations function behind the scenes. While many contributions within organizations are highly visible, Luke’s greatest strengths have often been in the infrastructure, logistics, technical systems, and operational coordination that allow the organization to function effectively at a high level.

Luke previously served as FIRST Experience Coordinator and has played a major role in helping shape how LCEC presents itself during competitions, and large-scale events. He has contributed to redesigning systems, improving workflows, strengthening communication processes, and supporting event execution across multiple programs. His technical background in programming, CAD, infrastructure systems, and operational problem-solving makes him uniquely qualified for a role focused on experience, logistics, and organizational functionality.

The Executive Director of Experience & Infrastructure is responsible for helping ensure that LCEC delivers a professional, organized, and memorable experience for students, mentors, volunteers, judges, guests, sponsors, and the broader FIRST community. This role focuses on the systems, logistics, presentation standards, and infrastructure that support all organizational activities and public-facing experiences.

This position also allows Luke to operate within an area where his strengths are most impactful. His ability to think strategically, solve operational problems, improve systems, and execute large-scale logistical planning provides tremendous value to the organization. The role is intentionally structured to maximize his independent effectiveness while reducing unnecessary overlap and friction between leadership responsibilities. Rather than focusing on organizational politics or broad oversight, this role leverages Luke’s proven strengths in coordination, infrastructure, execution, and operational excellence.
