Action Required for Returning Families and FIRST Team Applicants

1. Update Your Hello Club Account

Returning families: Log in to your existing Hello Club account and update all information for the 2026–2027 season.

Please make sure you update:

  • Parent/guardian contact information

  • Student information

  • School information

  • Parent membership for 2026–2027

  • Student membership for 2026–2027

Important

Your application will be considered invalid and will not be reviewed for team placement if both the Parent and Student memberships have not been updated to the 2026–2027 season.

Accounts that are not updated by May 30 will be deactivated in Hello Club. Once deactivated, you will no longer receive program updates or communications.

2. Apply to a FIRST Team

All members planning to apply to a FIRST team must have a current, free annual membership for 2026–2027 before submitting an application.

Applications open on May 1 at 10:00 AM PST on the Hello Club homepage.

Please complete the appropriate application in full. There will be a separate application for each FIRST program:

  • FIRST LEGO League (FLL)

  • FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)

  • FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

Interview Process

All students who attend the Town Hall will receive priority consideration for interview scheduling.

  • Interviews will take place during the second and third weeks of May.

  • FLL interviews will be conducted first.

  • FTC interviews will take place later in the month.

Priority interview scheduling does not guarantee team placement. Interviews help us better understand each student's interests and identify teams that may be a good fit.

Program Growth

We are actively working to expand our programs, including:

  • Adding a sixth FLL team

  • Potentially adding a second middle school FTC team

Expansion depends on:

  • Available space

  • Funding

  • Mentor and parent volunteer support

Volunteers Needed

No engineering background is required to be a mentor. What matters most is a willingness to support, guide, and encourage students.
