Letter of Intent -

Ty Koo

My name is Ty Koo, and I am running for the position of Blockhead Research and Development Director. When I first decided to run for a leadership position in the club, I was immediately drawn to this position and felt that this job would be perfect for me. As a part of LCHS's Associated Student Body, I already do most of what I would be doing as the Research and Development Director daily. A huge part of ASB is reaching out to various small businesses and setting up fundraisers, so I do not doubt that I could do the same for LCEC-related activities. This role excites me because it allows for creativity and enables me to be an active participant in the club next year. I believe that my position in ASB sets me apart from other candidates because I have direct leadership experience through my time as class president. I have organized many fundraisers for my class, such as a Kona Ice truck, Handels, and Panda Express. If I do become appointed for this role, I want to

What I'm looking forward to in this position is having the ability to make prioritizing planning fun and entertaining activities that build community at LCEC. I understand that the atmosphere for this job isn't one of politics or rewards, but of building the organization's culture with meaningful and impactful experiences. Whether it's club outings or at-school social gatheirngs, I'm looking forward to bringing new life and well-planned activities to the club.

I am completely committed to the expectations of this position, such as attending summer leadership conference meetings, bi-weekly cabinet meetings, general LCEC meetings, and actively participating in at least 90% of club events. I'm a go-getter, I communicate well, and I enjoy working in a team environment. I'm eager about the challenge of helping to make the LCEC community more positive through creative events and collaborative planning, and I'm willing to put in the time and effort this position deserves. Thank you for considering my application. I'm looking forward to the possibility of helping create the culture and community of LCEC next year.
