Letter of Intent -

Jeremy Lee

Dear LCEC Club Leadership,
I am writing to express my interest in running for the position of Program Director for FIRST LEGO League.

As someone deeply passionate about robotics and having fun, I believe that this position aligns perfectly with my strengths, goals, and vision for the club.

I am interested in leading this program because of my personal experience and my belief in its potential to inspire future engineers.

I participated in the program for two years, with my first when I was in fourth grade. FLL was my first introduction to this club, as well as STEM in general. I experienced the excitement and challenge, as well as the collaboration that this brings.

Through this position, I aim to bring that same energy and enthusiasm back to the program by creating a supportive, engaging environment where younger students can learn, explore, and develop an ardent passion for robotics – just like I did.

One of my main goals as the director would be to make Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition, the core values of FIRST in our program. I aspire to make all the participants feel supported, respected, motivated, and eager to be part of the program.

One way I can ensure this is through introducing more activities for the kids to be engaged and encouraged to collaborate.

I desire to appeal to what the kids enjoy; I definitely do not want them to feel like they are being dragged along or out of place.

More than anything, I see this role as a chance to give back, to help newer members discover their love for innovation the same way I did.

If elected, I’ll put my time and effort into maintaining the program’s high reputation, energy, and standard.

Thank you for considering my candidacy.

I’d be honored to serve as the Director of FIRST Lego League and contribute to the future of our engineering Club.
